Basketball: Skyliners vs. Trier
Last night it happened: Karaoke in the Glastpalast, our tower room with panoramic views of the Frankfurt banking district. These were both classics by the Beatles, Abba and Queen, as well atuelle hits and German songs. The crush was so great that not all songs were sung. Therefore, we look forward to hopefully soon second karaoke night at Glastpalast.
Yesterday it went with the whole course on Goethe University. There we had an appointment at the International Study Center. First, the students had answered all the questions in a briefings on a possible study in Germany. After that we went on tour with the Frankfurt student. Pasch our fellow students presented the campus. Thus, there were tours in Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and of course in German.
Today we went to the course for grand tour: Take a train went into the neighboring state of Bavaria, Lower Franconia, we visited the city of Wuerzburg. The main issue was the visit to the Residenz, the former seat of the Würzburg prince-bishops. It is known primarily for the residence of Tiepolo's ceiling fresco. This was representing four continents, the world's largest ceiling fresco in the residence status of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. End were the students that day with a stroll through the downtown area or a piece of Wuerzburg Sacher cake at the café.
Once we even tried Tuesday night on the ice, we wanted to see today how the pros do. To this end we took the entire course to the Frankfurt Lions ice hockey game against the Kölner Haie. The lion's teeth and were defeated 4-3 in Cologne! Each goal has been widely celebrated. This evening was an extraordinary event for our students who were actually welcomed by stadium announcer!
